Watercolor Show TV Interview

So here it is finally. This interview was shown last week on our very local TV station concerning my work for a watercolor show at our Community Arts Council. I've changed this video to a link - because what I had played automatically and that became irritating! So maybe this will work better.

Fabulous interview! You had lots of time and seemed relaxed and it was good to hear you speak more about the background of some of the paintings you do.

I wish I could see the exhibit in person, it looks great.

Thanks Jeanette - I couldn't help but think of what you said concerning TV interviews in a recent post of yours - I feel the same way.

Cool video! For someone who cant visit the exhibit, this video is the best bet to see yours and Ann's work on the walls.

Nice to see you live and in person, Gary. For some reason as I was watching your video, I had a vision in my head of you painting an old time barbershop painting with a customer in a chair. I don't know why...I think your watercolors are fantastic. Have you heard of Dennis Cox? He was my art prof at Pacific Lutheran University. I ask because often times academics and artists have a bit of a small world.

Well, how cool is that? :)

Thank you folks for the support. I usually don't like the way I look or sound and I imagine that's not too uncommon. Sherry I do not know Mr. Cox but I will look him up.

Hi Gary... very cool to see the video. Your work looks great framed and hung on the gallery walls. You seem like a mellow, laid back kind of guy. Or were you paddling frantically below the surface?

Thank you Ellen and Shelley! Well, small town - I've known Cherry (interviewer) for a very long time, so it was really having a chat with a buddy. The camera guy was way cool too, he was into it. I think most watercolorists are laid back - am I wrong?

Thanks Leslie! I was hoping you'd see that.

Great interview Gary..it was so fun to see you 'live'! That is not a NC accent I heard from you...you must be a transplant. I'll guess PA! The show looked terrific and I think it is wonderful that it worked out to be yours and Ann's work, together!

Thanks Melissa! Well my mom grew up in Detroit. My dad, west virginia and I in Norfolk Va. I don't know if I have an accent (but I pick up real easily on others!).

Gary, I just found the interview! How nice to actually see and hear you discuss your art! Wish I could see this show! It's really super that it worked out for you and Ann to exhibit together! I can't imagine being so relaxed in front of a camera! Great interview! Sorry I'm so late getting here!

Great interview! As you can see I'm a couple of months behind...wish a brother would have told a sister this was online! =) Hope the show went well and next time there's not an epic amount of snow around so more could get into town to see it! I miss you!! Seeing this made me miss you more!
